IVOR NOVELLO signed Saville Theatre programme cover* for his West End musical "Gay's the Word" (Feb 1951) starring Cicely Courtneidge & Lizbeth Scott.
Novello has added a poignant personal message to the side of the programme cover: "'DARLING, I'M SO PROUD AND HAPPY FOR YOU - AND HAVING A GOOD CRY TOO. ALL LOVE IVOR."

Novello died a few weeks later on 6 March 1951.
